BERE REGIS VIEW FROM THE FIRE SIREN TOWER on 4th August 1994 |
This view looks south-south-west toward the church, the other high point within the village. The village fire station was built in the 1950s and from the siren tower we can see the Royal Oak at left centre, and interestingly, the back of what was Bemister's Stores, now converted to housing, here with modern roof- lights fitted for attic rooms at the back. The foreground gardens show that not all available ground has been built on in the centre of the village.
